Earthshine.Image of the moon intentionally overexposed to pick up the earthshine (light reflected off the earth to the moon and back again). Unmodified Canon EOS 40D through an Orion 80ED telescope mounted on a Celestron CG5-GT mount. Single exposure, 2 seconds at ISO 320. Shot RAW and converted to JPEG using Photoshop CS3, no other post-processing. Click the image for a larger version.
